Leading the testing Strategy

SFW has a rich history of launching MVNO platforms and services. We recently worked with one of India’s largest based consultancies, providing key resources to launch multiple smaller MVNO’s that take advantage of roaming deals through the implementation of Multi-IMSI (MIMSI) technology. The smaller MVNO’s were based across Europe and Singapore and supported traditional telco customers, as well as providing bespoke services for aviation, automotive and banking sectors.

Productising the technology

SFW took technical high-level and low-level solution documents and generated a test strategy and plan to support the launch of multiple MVNO’s in different countries. Our team created traceability matrices, and led implementation to provide a product layer, therefore becoming the technical authority of the product.

Aligning Technical with Product – The How and Why

Working with high tech developers, almost anything can be developed. However, it is very easy to implement a technology that actually offers a diminished return. We pushed the developers to analyse the end product and ask ‘Why” they were implementing the change.

The “How” it is technically implemented is key to the customer experience. Rather than looking at the implementation singularly, the idea of productising the technology encourages the developer to think of the impact to end users. This analysis is critical in Telco where multiple parties can be inputting simultaneously from different platforms and equipment into any one function.

Examples workarounds and optimisation

• Ensuring the calls to the backend are minimised by storing information in session until an agreed point
• Understanding the negative responses from backend
• Providing animation whilst waiting for calls
• Placing some user journeys into the backlog marked as an improvement whilst the backend system is updated.
